EV Time-Of-Day Program
Our EV Time-of-Day (TOD) Program offers an affordable rate to members who purchase an electric vehicle to meet their charging needs. Two categories of electric vehicles are eligible for this program: plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). Hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), such as the Toyota Prius, do not qualify.

EV Subscription
Our EV Subscription Program offers simplified, affordable rates to members who purchase an electric vehicle to meet their charging needs. Two categories of electric vehicles are eligible for this program: plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). Hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), such as the Toyota Prius, do not qualify.
- Tier 1 - $30/month (per EV) 600 kWh limit
- Tier 2 - $50/month (per EV) 1,200 kWh limit

Level 2 EV Charger Rebate
Connexus Energy offers a $500 rebate for the installation of a Level 2 charger.
- Rebate amount is up to 50% of total project cost or $500 (whichever is less) for qualifying Level 2 (240-volt) EV charger with meter socket installation.
- Must be enrolled in the EV TOU or off-peak EV rate.
- Limited to one rebate per EV and EV charger with off-peak meter socket installation.
- EV charger must be installed within Connexus Energy’s service territory.
- Eligible for battery electric vehicles only. Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) or hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) do not qualify.
- The Whole-House Residential Time-of-Day Program does not qualify.
- Applications must be submitted by December 31, 2024.

Connexus Energy offers a $100 rebate for the installation of a Level 2 PHEV charger.
- Rebate amount is $100 for qualifying Level 2 (240-volt) PHEV charger with meter socket installation.
- Must be enrolled in an electric vehicle rate.
- Limit of one rebate per PHEV and PHEV charger with off-peak meter socket installation.
- PHEV charger must be installed within Connexus Energy’s service territory.
- Eligible for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) only. Hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) do not qualify.
- The Whole-House Residential Time-of-Day Program does not qualify.

MN Department of Commerce Electric Vehicle (EV) Rebate Program
The MN Department of Commerce is reviewing applications on a first-come, first-served basis. Each application must be processed individually to ensure it complies with program and state requirements. Commerce expects rebate payments to begin going out in April 2024.

• For new electric vehicles, owners/lessees may receive a rebate up to $2,500.
• New vehicles must have a base MSRP of $55,000 or less.
• For used electric vehicles, owners may receive a rebate up to $600.

IRS: Federal Tax Credit for EV Charging Equipment for Businesses
Businesses are eligible to receive a Federal Tax Credit for alternative fueling infrastructure including EV charging stations. Tax credits for qualified alternative fueling infrastructure are up to 30% of the cost to purchase and install the infrastructure. Fueling station owners who install qualified equipment at multiple sites are allowed to use the credit towards each location. Consult with your tax professional to see how these credits apply to your business.
